Joshua Tree Experts, the emerging Pennsylvania-based tree maintenance, lawn care and pest control franchise, is wrapping up a truly groundbreaking year. The brand opened its first two franchises — Middletown, NY and Pittsburgh, PA — and saw systemwide revenue jump 10% year-to-date across its network, which also includes two corporate-owned locations. The brand also sold nine franchise agreements in just six months.
"It's been a fantastic year for our brand,” said Joshua Tree Experts Founder and CEO Joshua Malik. “Our first franchise openings were obviously a huge milestone, and we anticipate having a total of 10 units signed by the year’s end. We just signed a franchise agreement in Indiana, as well as one for our third location in Pennsylvania as well, so we are excited about further expanding our footprint in our home state.”
To support this exciting growth, Joshua Tree Experts has spent the past year building out its leadership team with the addition of Dylan DeGroat as the new Director of Franchise Development, Melissa Napolitano as its new Director of Marketing and Thomas Armstrong as Vice President of Operations. Joshua Tree Experts also announced a partnership with CarPool by Franchise FastLane, a training and coaching program designed to assist brands in their development.
"Our growth is a direct result of our focus on people — both our team and franchise partners,” Malik said. “It's all about the people. The support that franchisees are getting out of the gate is tremendous. They love the idea of really scaling a business.”
Joshua Tree Experts encourages franchisees to own the equipment they need to operate the business, allowing them to scale more quickly and continue to build wealth for themselves and their families. Plus, with three green services in one — tree care, lawn care and pest control — its “Joshua Tree Three” business model allows franchisees to capture a larger share of the booming market.
Now, following a flagship year, Malik says the team is excited to continue to enrich lives through tree services. “We’re riding the momentum we’ve built in the recent months, and we don't see it decreasing,” he said. “There are more prospective franchisees in the pipeline, and the potential to sign multi-territory deals is also available, so we’re excited about what’s to come.”
Joshua Tree Experts is still growing, so franchisees who join the network now will have a wide range of territories to choose from. The franchisor plans to target Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey and North Carolina for expansion.
Looking ahead to 2024, Malik says the team hopes to sell 20 units by the end of next year. As it expands, Joshua Tree Experts continues to offer a robust support infrastructure that supports franchisees in building a low-cost, scalable business opportunity in the exciting green industry.
